An enamel mug with a name is such a personal gift and always a lovely one to give. Mies painted the cutest animals especially for these personalised mugs. Each design is made especially for you, featuring the child’s name and, if you like, a date of birth or a short message.

  2. Enter the name and, if you like, the date of birth on the product page.
  3. You’ll receive a digital preview by email. Make sure to check your spam folder too, just in case.
  4. Once you’ve approved the design, we’ll create your enamel mug especially for you.
  5. We’ll send it to you as a parcel, or you can pick it up from our lovely shop in De Hallen, Amsterdam.

Will I receive a preview first?

Yes, you’ll always receive a digital preview by email first. We only create the final mug once you’ve approved the design. Make sure to check your spam folder too, just in case, so you don’t miss the preview.

Is a personalised enamel mug suitable as a new baby gift?

Yes, definitely! A personalised enamel mug is an original and thoughtful new baby gift. It’s lovely to keep, but also practical for drinks, little snacks or later as decoration in a child’s bedroom.

Yes, all the animals were originally hand-painted by Mies. The illustrations are then prepared digitally and personalised with the name or text you provide.

How do I order a personalised enamel mug?

Choose your favourite mug, enter the name and, if you like, a date or short text, and place your order. Mies will then create a digital preview, which you’ll receive by email. Once you’ve approved it, the mug will be made and carefully packed.

How long does it take for my mug to be ready?

After approval of the digital preview, the mug is usually shipped within 3 to 5 working days.

Is the enamel mug dishwasher-safe?

We recommend washing the enamel mug by hand. This will help keep the print looking beautiful for as long as possible.

Can the enamel mug go in the microwave?

No, the enamel mug is not microwave-safe.

Can I use the enamel mug for hot drinks?

Yes, the mug is suitable for both hot and cold drinks. Please take extra care with young children, as enamel can become hot when filled with a hot drink.

What can I use the enamel mug for?

The mug is lovely for drinks, little snacks, yoghurt, pencils, paintbrushes, toothbrushes or as decoration in a child’s bedroom. It also looks great on a desk or in the classroom.

Can I have the mug gift-wrapped?

Yes, we offer a free gift-wrapping service. Simply let us know at checkout that your order is a gift. You can also add a message for a handwritten card.

Can I collect the mug from the shop?

Yes, you can also collect your order from our shop in De Hallen, Amsterdam. Simply choose local pickup at checkout.

Can I have a completely custom mug made?

Sometimes it’s possible to create a completely custom mug with a specific animal or special request. Because Mies will need to create a new design or illustration for this, different prices apply. Email your request to mies@worldofmies.com
